What Do You Want People To Associate You With

Successful people, in all callings, never stop acquiring specialized knowledge related to their major purpose, business, or profession.

People aren’t known for being a jack of all trades, they are known for the field they are specialized in.
I once heard my mentor say that it’s better to be world class at a few things, than being mediocre at most things.
Have you ever given thought on what it is that you should be best at? What do you want to be known for? What do you want people to associate you with?
When you are known for something specific (hopefully good and not bad), you are headed in the right direction.

I am sure you know and probably love KFC (Kentucky fried Chicken). What about the founder, Colonel Sanders? Did you know that he worked a number of jobs in his early life? He worked as a steam engine stocker, insurance man, etc.…
He eventually got a job as a cook at a station for weary travelers and this gathered him a lot of attention and praise.
As some of you know, this led him to perfecting the, now well guarded, recipe of the famous KFC chicken that many people love toady.
He focused on the one thing that led him to his fame.

Have you ever heard of a football champion winning a gold medal in a swimming competition? No right?
Because they focused on the one thing which took them right to their trophies/gold medal.

Get laser focused on the one thing you are passionate about

5 Steps you need to change to stay focused.
1. The people you hang out with.
2. The kind of books you read.
3. How you allocate your time.
4. How you use your energy?
5. How you spend your money?

“The jack-of-all-trades seldom is good at any. Concentrate all of your effort on one definite chief aim.”
-Napoleon Hill.

As the author of “Think and Grow Rich” says, it is better to be a master of one, than average at most things.

How do you want people to identify you? Become absolutely focused on the one thing you want people to associate you with. Take some time out of your day and ask yourself. What is the one thing you want to do, and are passionate about?
What is the one thing I want to do that people will associate with me?
What should I put my whole focus on?

Today I want you to think about what you want people to associate with you, and be focused on that.
Stay focused on the one thing that matters and ignore the distractions that are around you trying to get your attention.

The only thing that will have your attention is your pathway to your dreams.
